Slice of Lime-Tie One On

Ok, I know I said "sarong to summer" last week, but lecram and other friends are saying it this week. He also shared a video on different ways to tie a sarong. I have had problems with that in the past so I thought I should practice a little before packing away the sarong for cold weather.

Tie the ends in the front.

Twist up to to neck.

Tie around neck in the back.

It worked but it has been cold enough this week I am more tempted to wear my sarong this way.

  2. I know it's getting chilly up in Pennsylvania, but I like the first look much better! (naturally) Last week I saw some poor woman in a burka going into the grocery store. It was 96 degrees out that day. Most people wouldn't do that to their dog, much less their wife, but her hubby was sitting in the car in a short-sleeved cotton shirt, nice and cool. Ugh.

Boy, did I go off on a tangent or what?

    Peace - D

  7. LOL I love the last picture. You look like you are from Farukahbad!

One thing I have learned..if you tie your saree with a front opening and no overlap, wear panties!
    Just saying.

    Have a great day.

  8. (singing) Sarong, farewell, auf Wiedersehen, good bye-ee...

Aw, Lime see what you did? You've planted this song and I'll be humming it for the rest of the day, 'cuz I can't get it out of my head!

Oh wait!! "Can't get it out of my head." That's Electric Light Orchestra. I could do that one instead!

Who takes these photos? Do you use a tripod and timer or do you have a real live assistant?

You look so lovely in a sarong! And yes it's a versatile garment...lol. Lots of mommies in Asia for example use it as baby carrier.

    Happy HNT!

  12. The halter twist is beautiful but I'm with you on the last one...I would need a sarong in fleece. Do they make those?

  16. I'm just a wee bit further north in PA than you are and yes, it definitely has NOT exactly been sarong weather this past week! I think we said "Sarong to Summer" maybe a week or two before you did.
