Over the weekend I was visiting some old friends in a town where I used to live. Since I went there alone I had a chance to wander the streets with my camera in hand and not have anyone rushing me to leave. The weather was perfect. It was a very pleasant stroll as familiar places brought back some lovely memories. Here are a few of the best shots.

ReplyDeleteYour part of the country is significantly 'older' than mine; not much to be found around these parts from before the mid-1800s or so. (And of course, Europeans just laugh when we talk about the 17th century as 'ancient'. . .)

I wonder what percentage of the general population consider it important (as I do) that architecture should reflect beauty as well as function. It was good of you to find and share this beauty and artistry. I especially like the brick work on the forth pic.

Parts of Salt Lake City, Utah are pretty cool to stroll in around for pictures.
