HNT-Mini Vacation

Earlier this week I shared about my weekend getaway and how therapeutic it was. It felt good to stroll down to the beach and sit my butt down with a good book. When I got overly warm I walked my butt out into the water and floated along happily. Just like last year though I managed to forget sunblock on one spot. How do ya like them pink leggies? Pass the aloe.

Oh and since I am feeling so relaxed and therefore generous here's a bonus shot of me observing the apres swim one garment rule...of course it is tie dyed......

  1. you know, I never use sunscreen because of my dark skin, but I found out (and you can see it in my HNT) that I was WRONG!!!

  6. Now your legs match your clothes - oh dear. Hope it's not too uncomfortable.
Here in UK we would welcome the chance to get a little sunburn, but the rain just won't stop.

  20. Ouch on the legs. I have this lotion that is wonderful for sunburn, it is made by Banana Boat and it is called After The Sun. It has aloe in it but instead of being the green or blue ooey mess it is in a lotion form. It really sooths and it keeps the peeling down to a minimum. My husband is mostly Irish and our oldest daughter has his skin so I try to keep the aloe line around.

Love the pics and the tie dyed cover!

    Happy HNT!!

  21. You know Michelle, that's two years in a row now where you've left critical portions of your skin exposed and unprotected! I think that, to avoid hitting the trifecta, you better take me along next year to apply the sunscreen; I'm VERY thorough! ;-)

Oh, and did you have the OTHER shot of you demonstrating the "one-garment, post-swimming rule" -- you know, where you are silhouetted with the evening sun behind you (leaving NO doubt you are following the rule)?! Just askin'...

    HHNT, Limey Girl! And thanks...

  22. Sigh. How I miss vacations. Everybody is taking them but us. We haven't been on one for a few years now because Bob started his own business. But.... I do have sunburn.
wait.....that's not a good thing, is it? A sunburn without the vacation. Kind of like a hangover without the night of wild party fun.

  28. I debated and debated to myself if I should ask this question, because I thought you might think I'm a horn dog. Then I realized that you already know that, so what the hell.

Are you going commando under the tie dye?

    Happy HNT!

  32. I looked at that picture before I read the post and thought, "did you use sunblock?"

I'm lily white. My wife only uses her sunglasses when I remove my shirt.
