Earlier this week I shared about my weekend getaway and how therapeutic it was. It felt good to stroll down to the beach and sit my butt down with a good book. When I got overly warm I walked my butt out into the water and floated along happily. Just like last year though I managed to forget sunblock on one spot. How do ya like them pink leggies? Pass the aloe.

Oh and since I am feeling so relaxed and therefore generous here's a bonus shot of me observing the apres swim one garment rule...of course it is tie dyed......

you know, I never use sunscreen because of my dark skin, but I found out (and you can see it in my HNT) that I was WRONG!!!
ReplyDeleteI am a fan of tie dye too. Happy HNT!
ReplyDeleteNow even your legs are tie-dye!
ReplyDeleteA happy HNT holiday to you.
Funny how therapeutic adventures can leave us bruised ... or burned!
ReplyDeleteHHNT Michelle! :)
I was wondering if we would get a peek into your weekend. :) Cheers and Happy HNT!
ReplyDeleteNow your legs match your clothes - oh dear. Hope it's not too uncomfortable.
ReplyDeleteHere in UK we would welcome the chance to get a little sunburn, but the rain just won't stop.
one garment rules as Lime rules...Yayy!
ReplyDeleteI love the pictures...& ouch for the legs... I hope you did not burn yourself!
love the photos - Happy HNT!
ReplyDeleteMay I apply the aloe my dear?
ReplyDeleteHHNT
You look so relaxed. I feel better just having viewed this.
ReplyDeleteJust wear more pink-based tie-dye . . . no one will notice.
ReplyDeleteThe relaxation is pretty apparent in your face . . . nice pic.
XO
Good to see another proof of your therapeutic trip!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the bonus:-)
Yay Lime!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the Schmoozy. Love seeing the tie dye, its sublime Lime.
Ouch... on the sun burn, but glad that all the rest of your weekend was so relaxing.
ReplyDeleteHappy HNT!
Worlds most beautiful pink legs;) Hope they do not still burn.LOL.
ReplyDeleteI envy your swimming. The summer this year here up in the North - did appear as the green, wet winter. brrr. Butt we did canoeing. In the green:D
I'd have been beet red!
ReplyDeleteI need a vacay like that!
Oh and HHNT!
ReplyDeleteooohhh.those shins look a little pink. But oh how relaxed you look. Happy HNT
ReplyDeleteFor a minute there I thought you were up without tye dye! Whew... glad I scrolled on down and found all right with the world. Happy HNT!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a blast!
ReplyDeleteHAPPY HNT!
Ouch on the legs. I have this lotion that is wonderful for sunburn, it is made by Banana Boat and it is called After The Sun. It has aloe in it but instead of being the green or blue ooey mess it is in a lotion form. It really sooths and it keeps the peeling down to a minimum. My husband is mostly Irish and our oldest daughter has his skin so I try to keep the aloe line around.
ReplyDeleteLove the pics and the tie dyed cover!
Happy HNT!!
You know Michelle, that's two years in a row now where you've left critical portions of your skin exposed and unprotected! I think that, to avoid hitting the trifecta, you better take me along next year to apply the sunscreen; I'm VERY thorough! ;-)
ReplyDeleteOh, and did you have the OTHER shot of you demonstrating the "one-garment, post-swimming rule" -- you know, where you are silhouetted with the evening sun behind you (leaving NO doubt you are following the rule)?! Just askin'...
HHNT, Limey Girl! And thanks...
Sigh. How I miss vacations. Everybody is taking them but us. We haven't been on one for a few years now because Bob started his own business. But.... I do have sunburn.
ReplyDeletewait.....that's not a good thing, is it? A sunburn without the vacation. Kind of like a hangover without the night of wild party fun.
very cool!!!! HHNT
ReplyDeletelol, word verification was gruveee
I am so jealous of your vacation ... but i'm glad you enjoyed it!
ReplyDeleteAloe works well! HHNT!
ReplyDeleteOoooh Dem som sunburn leg gyul!

HHNT!
You look very relaxed! I love the shirt, super cute.
ReplyDeleteI debated and debated to myself if I should ask this question, because I thought you might think I'm a horn dog. Then I realized that you already know that, so what the hell.
ReplyDeleteAre you going commando under the tie dye?
Happy HNT!
LMAO @ Tony! Lime, You are beautiful and I am sooooo jealous. I still can't retrieve that one you sent me, but then again, I can't log onto the internet on my phone either. HHNT gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteTG

We could totally have a pink leggie contest, my friend. Fair skinned of the world, unite!
ReplyDeleteI looked at that picture before I read the post and thought, "did you use sunblock?"
ReplyDeleteI'm lily white. My wife only uses her sunglasses when I remove my shirt.
Glad to see you so relaxed and happy :)
