Danger approaches
but I am paralyzed.
Fear finally moves my feet
though I plod through quicksand.
As the chase continues,
my muscles strain
until I find solid ground,
gain speed.
The predator closes in.
I feel his hot breath,
know he will overtake me
with one lunge
until
my final surge
sends me safely skyward.

Whew! Glad you made it safely!

ReplyDeleteI had the same dream. One of a few nightmares that I remembered even after waking up. I think it's because it had a happy end.
