Epiphany

Mr. Lime and I attended an informal reunion of college pals this weekend. Most of the folks we hadn't seen in 15-20 years. It was a really terrific time to reconnect for a bit. I looked forward to it and was not disappointed in any way.

One thing I didn't expect was an epiphany of sorts as I listened to a particualr individual discuss another person in my life who has caused me rather a lot of unhappiness over the last 18 years. I can't really elaborate because it would not be fair to the people involved. It's just a very odd and amazing thing to have been staring at all the pieces to a puzzle for a long time and even knowing which part of the pictures they should make but being unable to piece them together. then one day through absolutely no effort they sort of arrange themselves and you see the picture more clearly than you had imagined. Odd indeed.

A couple other observations are that only in Lancaster County, PA will a mock silo attached to your business be considered a marketing technique. It's also the only place you are likely to see barns converted into office space for a corporate center.

My mother-in-law is visiting this week so I may not get around to visit you all very much and posting here will be somewhat sporadic but I'll still try to toss up some fun posts during the week.

I love those moments of sudden realization. It sounds as if your empathy was exercised, I hope it brings you greater understanding.

Have a really good, you deserve it.

Yes indeed. osmtimes things appear more clear in retrospect...
It is like when you hold the mirror close to your face, all you are able to see are some grains, but when you view yourself froma distnce your image appears clear!

Have a good time Lime!

Enjoy your time with your MIL!

My office is in my barn.

You should re-tell that middle part of the post about people doing stuff that you can't talk about, and insert fictional names for the characters. And maybe throw in some lies so it will be harder to tell who's who.

Some people never do see an "epiphany of sorts" -- so even though the pieces may have been in front of you, it is still an accomplishment when one sees the forest and the trees.

Corporate barns are sounds like something they would do in WI...lol.

You know, it's amazing how all of a sudden we realize what's happening and wonder "why did it take so long?" I have a lot of respect towards you for not elaborating. Not many people now days would ever consider the other persons feelings.

Have a fun visit with the mother-in-law and you'll be missed ;o)

An epiphany about someone who's been lame to you for 18 years, and the MIL in the same week? Too much girl, too much!

I love it when everything falls into place. Who knows why it happens but when it does, it is a good feeling.

I am sure the MIL visit will go well. Just no zip lines while she is there!

Out here, I have seen old churches turned into businesses.

A barn was turned into a bar and another was a night spot for dancing-well, I guess it was a bar, too.

Have a good time with MIL. Take it easy.

OK...Tell me what you think about this idea..
You can have the MIL take Thursdays HNT shot!!

"We don't need no stinking tripod"!!

...Or this, You can put a Tie Dye bonnet on her while she sleeps, snap her pic, and then she can be YOUR guest for HNT! Huh Huh?
I kinda like the last one!

Enjoy life with your MIL. May it be stress-free and fun. Or at least stress-free. Or fun. But not neither. That would be bad.

It sounds like it was a fun and momentous reunion. I have chickened out on the last couple of high-school reunions... since I have this really good excuse of living thousand of miles away. But maybe seeing certain people again would put pieces in the puzzle for me too.

I do wish you were the type to be unfair to the people involved.

I'd love to read more. Maybe you could be a little less morally upright?
