HNT-Celebrating a Return

Last week I was in Georgia taking care of my mother-in-law. As I said, it went much better than I thought, both in terms of her physical recovery and in terms of our getting along. Nonetheless I was glad to get home. Mr. Lime and the kids all came to the airport to pick me up and we went out to dinner on the way home since it was close to dinner time and we had a 2 hour drive.

Palm Springs Savant likes to take pictures of himself with martinis so when my raspberry margarita was served I took a cue from him and had Isaac snap a shot. It was a lot bigger than I expected (and a lot weaker so I guess it evens out). Anyway, this is my "Aaaahhhhh, good to be home and still not have to cook and clean tonight" look.

Enjoy the martini, and the not cleaning and stuff, cause if you've been away you know tomorrow when you get up there's gonna be a PILE of cleaning crap to do. (it was always like that when my mom went away for a short while)

And you'll have a hangover. :)

but HAPPY HNT nonetheless! :)

That is so wonderful. You got me all drooling for a nice frozen margarita now. I love those things although I have never had a raspberry one before. The drink looks awesome and that look on your face... priceless. Now I have to go to work and think about that drink... It is going to be a long day.

Happy HNT and so glad to see you out and about again.

Wow! Partying with Lime. :D

I've never had a raspberry, but there's a place not too far from here that has strawberry margaritas that are da bomb. Their food is mediocre, but great place to get sloshed.

Happy HNT!

And thanks again for your super sweet cooking support. I am actually going to try and make your sandwiches AGAIN this weekend. I'll be sure and keep the Limey Spirit with me. ;) Plus, I realized I will also get to play with the peppers in my new veggie chopper I got for Christmas and have yet to use.

Welcome home and you can get Mister Lime to make you margaritas to sip while you keep the houshold moving!!

Yes, I remember the Mark Twain quote you mentioned on my blog. It has always been one of my favourites and my kids have heard it several times! It is just brilliant and sums us up so perfectly!

Wow, that rasberry margarita looks terribly tempting. I'll think I'll pick up some Rasberries from the freezer and mix me one quickly.

Why? Because you looks sooo happy

oh my. wish i was there to join in the fun, but then it would be a long taxi ride home to Indiana because after one big fruity tooty drink i would need a designated driver.

Glad you are back safe and sound. Great shot - that margerita looks like it would soothe my sore throat just fine.

Is your hair getting darker? I swear you are getting younger and younger.

A weak margarita feels like a personal insult.

Maybe next time you can share one with the MIL?
