MicroBio

I hope everyone who observes the holiday had a great Easter. I ate entirely too much but enjoyed a chance to spend with my extended family. When we got to my mom's she showed us a brand new Honda-CRV she just bought two weeks ago. I jokingly asked if she was going to let her granddaughter take it for a spin and she said, "Of course!." You can imagine Diana was both thrilled and nervous. I feared for the bank of mailboxes as she backed out of the driveway but once she got past that she did great. Upon her return she informed us it's much nicer to drive than my dented minivan with a transmission that's beginning to slip. Imagine that!

Hypersonic had a link to this article some time ago where some fellow has done a compilation of people summing up their lives in six words. He was inspired by Ernest Hemingway's 6 word story For sale: baby shoes, never used.

Then Citizen of the World tagged me with the idea as a meme.

I thought coming up with a complete story line in 55 words was a challenge. How do I sum up my entire life in 6 words?

Well, I have two alternatives here. I realize they sound a bit gloomy and I don't intend that. The first one is simply a statement of fact and is what has felt like the overarching theme from the day I was born.

Unending cycle of hellos and good-byes.

Here are some others I thought of too.

Daughter, sister, wife, mother. Seeking myself.

Running the show, no one realizes.

Mapped a route, detoured, enjoying ride.

Ok, so I cheated and put out too many words plus all sorts of explanation. When have you ever known me to follow all the rules of a meme?

How would YOU sum up your life in six words?

I haven't eaten a single chocolate egg this season which I take as quite an achievement. Unless you count 2x4oz Cadbury's Mini Eggs paxx from the local shop haha!

Mostly lucky, currently lost, seeking fulfillment.

Oh, that is a tough meme. Six words...?

Smiles and cries, Hellos and Goodbyes.

Yes, I realize I used half of your for mine, but oddly enough it fits. :D

Clean, wasted, clean again, all good.

Ooooh! I've done this before...

All the world is a stage.

:)

I think it's fitting!

And sounds like your Easter was wonderful!

Wow I have to think about that!

I remember reading about Hemingways baby thing when I was learning about Flash Fiction.

Ever looking toward you, my India.

How is that for 6 words? I think that does it.

Seeking myself, learning the hard way.

I stole part of one of yours as well. I think it fits for most of us.

The first time I read Hemingway's 6 word story, it brought tears to my eyes.

My mom bought a Honda CRV too. #1 likes driving it better than my mom mobile. Don't our girls have life rough?

Warning: I need a warning label.

k that wasn't poetic, but the flu is killing me, so my head is dumber than usual.

First of all your mom is way cool. How many people would immediately say yes to letting a teenager drive their new car? Diana is so lucky to have such a grandma.

I liked these six words: Running the show, no one realizes.

Ha! The Mom Mantra!

My six words? hmm...let me think on that.

Ain't it just like a kid to compare your love wagon to a brand new shiny machine.

I read the article and thought it was wowing. The link to Hypersonic didn't work for me though.

Six words, huh?

Done did it, Did it well!

Thanks for playing along. Now I have the Beatles' Hello, Goodbye song in my head.

I think I might have to ponder this one for a while but I like the seeking myself one of yours. I think that should be one's goal in life...seeking one's self.

I don't get the Hemingway story in 6 words from your link... am I thick or something?

I thought and thought and came up with something none to wonderful but

curious, happy, helpful, easy going sloth

It is so hard. There is a lot that can be said but limiting it to 6 words it is difficult.

Love this idea. How about this?

Unnoticed embers seeking breeze~ ceaselessly starved.

Zombie Hunter seeking cute ninja girl.

Drunk as fuck. Sober now though.
Eh, that's what came right to mind.
LOL

I really liked
"Running the show. No one knows."
(Realizes is good too but doesn't rhyme.)

Some others that came to mind:

"Elephant thinks he's a mouse."
"Seeking a light in the darkness."
"Always wants more but can't get."
"Looking to fill God shaped hole."

I sense a theme...
