@#!%#$*&*!!!!!!

We interrupt this blog for a rant...

To the belligerent jackass in the gold Passat:

This evening around 5pm my newly driver permitted daughter accidentally cut you off. It was not a premeditated act designed to piss you off. It was an inexperienced teen who hesitated at a busy intersection rather than pulling out confidently. It was understandably irritating to you and I was explaining that to her when you decided to remain about 12 inches off our rear bumper and lay on the horn for the next 45-60 seconds as we traveled a narrow-laned road with no shoulder.

That was a bit over the top but what you did next was the most infantile, outrageous, hostile example of road rage I have ever personally witnessed in my life. You passed us in a no passing zone then immediately pulled in front of us with very little space and stopped DEAD in the middle of the road. You clearly were hoping we'd hit you, presumably so you could then sue us. By the grace of God my brand new driver managed to stop our car with about an inch to spare. I so wanted to get your license plate so I could report your sorry ass to the police for being such a willfully reckless fuckwit. However, I was too busy keeping my daughter calm.

I noticed you had a young child in your front seat and the child was unrestrained. If you manage not to kill this kid before he or she reaches driving age I hope people are more patient when he or she is learning to drive than you are. The next time you decide to try to cause an accident because someone angers you on the road I hope you are the only person who gets hurt and not someone else's child. You are a fucking menace.

Yours truly,
One seriously pissed off mother.

Thank you, we now return you to the regularly scheduled blog...for a more uplifting post, Da Count may be found below.

Lime - Another reason why some folks shouldn't have drivers licenses.

I took Driver's Ed very seriously. It said to only honk to prevent an accident and not to punish. The instructor explained why. He said everyone makes mistakes, and if you honk to punish, it just makes them nervous, thus causing them to make even more mistakes.

If I were a cop, I would have stopped him and gave him a lecture he would never forget. I have accidentally cut people off when I was younger and always tried to give an apologetic wave. Sometimes I got someone who understood and waved back. Sometimes got some asshole like that guy.

Another reason I can't stand driving - because there are people like that on the road.

That is insane. They should be cracking down on road rage. Well that and running red lights too. Anyone that is caught doing anything close to road rage should be sent back to driving school minimum or even jailed. This has to stop. I mean we all make mistakes at times. I wish I could say I do not but I would be lying. But instead of getting insane, we as fellow drivers should just be thankful we corrected for their error and avoid an accident. Yes use the horn to warn something was done wrong but not blasting the horn (something I have done a few times myself... hangs head in shame). Anyway sorry your freshly licensed diver had to experience that.

Some should NOT be allowed to breed! :(
It is a shame you didn't get the tag - most states have laws against road rage.

I'm glad you came out of it alright. I really wish you'd have gotten a license #!!!! IF it ever happens again, easy way to get #, is to use your cell phone and take a picture!
That way, not only do you have the correct #, you also HAVE A PICTURE OF THEIR IGNORANT BEHAVIOR!!!!!!

How absurd and so lacking in common sense is it to stop short in front of someone -experienced or inexperienced driver makes no never mind there -and risk a full-blown accident complete with injuries. Some people are such asswipes! License or no license, I think I would have called the police, given as full a description of the car and other particulars as possible so at least they could be somewhat on the lookout for an idiot driver on the loose.
Just glad things worked out as well as they did for you and the daughter though. Very lucky, you know, that they did!

Wishing you all a great and quiet end to your week :-)

I sit here shaking my head and wonder how some parents are allowed to transport children... It is a TOTAL shame you were not able to get his plate #.... Hugs to you and Hugs to the kiddo.. poor thing.

I have to give your credit. Knowing myself, I would have flew out of the car and scream at the fucktard for doing what he did, taken a picture of his license plate and the fact the kid was lose in the front seat. I can't STAND people that drive like that. I would have served him/her right if someone from the other way would have hit them.

You get em lime!

This is exactly what I was just talking about with my daughter! It's not that we don't trust our newly permitted drivers, it's the other idiots in this world.

Things are so different than when we learned to drive.

You are a good mom and I'm sure your daughter learned a great lesson from this.

Oh Limey!!! Just reading this made me want to hunt down that guy and kick his sorry ass! Having a newly permitted driver myself this story just terrifies me!

Hope your new driver doesn't let this experience stop her from practicing.

That's the kind of driver who leaves his brain in the garage before he climbs behind the wheel. He IS a frickin' menace. If it makes you feel any better, one glorious day such a person was being his menacing self towards our car. When this clown hit us, he came running out of his car to scream "YOUR FAULT!" And a cop, who'd happened to see the whole thing, calmly strolled over and cited his sorry ass. Oh, if that would be the case more often.

I felt my blood pressure rise for you too! What an idiot. Glad you and daughter were unscathed (physically that is). ;0)
