Over the weekend I was visiting some old friends in a town where I used to live. Since I went there alone I had a chance to wander the streets with my camera in hand and not have anyone rushing me to leave. The weather was perfect. It was a very pleasant stroll as familiar places brought back some lovely memories. Here are a few of the best shots.

I love architecture!
Wonderful architecture.. and gotta love THE TRE.
I love the old architecture. Thanks for this. . .
Your part of the country is significantly 'older' than mine; not much to be found around these parts from before the mid-1800s or so. (And of course, Europeans just laugh when we talk about the 17th century as 'ancient'. . .)
Wow! a feast for the eyes! Love the pictures!
Those are great pictures, Lime. Thanks for sharing. :D
Oh what a charming place. How wonderful you got to wander happily without interruption.
These are great!
There are a lot of wonderful features for a 'small town'. I imagine it has some age to it.
Thats a cool thing about the east coast...you have older buildings and historical fun stuff!
Everything out here came after Elvis and Marilyn!
I wonder what percentage of the general population consider it important (as I do) that architecture should reflect beauty as well as function. It was good of you to find and share this beauty and artistry. I especially like the brick work on the forth pic.
Very Cool! Lime, Very Cool.
Is the last one a water fountain? It's really interesting.
Loved the name game--I have two meme's I want to play with now! :)
Happy back to School!

Nice architectural details.
Dear Lime,
tahnks for sharing these details most peoples do overlook.
They are in fact more important than most people realize.
The details gives inspirations, without thinking about it, and at the same time, they give insight and fantasy.
Excellent post
that is impressive architecture for a small town!
here the small towns are a little less grand but of course, charming.
You have an excellent eye... great shots!!!

Parts of Salt Lake City, Utah are pretty cool to stroll in around for pictures.
You can take pictures in the state capital building without a flash, it's pretty cool in there.
The teens in this house are clashing with each other and their parents.
I didn't allow that, period, it was my kingdom and I was the king.

And the CAPITAL THE TRE picture is a gem.
You are loving windows and horizontal lines--oh, and wait, vertical lines--and all thing structural here.
Wish I was on that stroll!
