FRIDAY 55
Mr. Lime had to go to work.
Calypso had to see a specialist in another city.
Then she had to go to school.
I had several errands.
Isaac had track workouts.
Calypso had a voice lesson...
and needed a new P.E. uniform.
We all had to see the chiropractor.
180 miles on the mom taxi.
Lordy, this being the only licensed driver in the house is kind of wearying. I've got another day of running around and then I hope to have 2 days of just staying put and letting dust collect on me as my butt widens. I'm thankful to have a running car and a license though.

Mama Lime - we need to talk. wish I lived in the same community as you - we could switch off.
I'm putting a meter in my car
Drive On!!!
Trini...
I would love to drive you around town and give you a break...
I love to drive, and do lots of it.
I Love Non-Fiction Flash 55's.
Hehehehehe...
Thanks for taking the time to play, I really appreciate it.
Have a relaxing and Kick Ass Week-End...G
and with gas prices at what they are...
you have had a bit of a busy day eh?
Poor thing! Hope you get some much deserved rest :)
always the running around, when do we find time for ourselves? such a great read these 55 words, so few here and yet i am worn out. get some rest, as tomorrow a new day, with new blessings and new responsibilities
Sounds like you could use a relaxing weekend (or at least a nap). Have a good one.
That's a lot of miles! This weekend you shouldn't move a single inch just to compensate, well except maybe to go to the bathroom. ;)
Get some rest! thanks for playing-
Here's my most fervent prayer for you: Please, Lord, let Lime have a couple of days of sloth. I ask this in Jesus' name. Amen.
Im getting you a rickshaw drivers uniform! LOL you deserve it.
All that driving - and NO tips!
(Maybe if you didn't live in the boonies?)
Feeling your 55 (180) pain, Lime!
Wow! That's a lot.
Speaking of cars, my wife's suddenly up and died yesterday. On-board computer brain blew a chip, which was "easy" to replace and then had to go back today when the headlights gave up. Wiring harness cracked at a plastic connector and had to replace the whole thing.
Huh; thought I left a comment for you earlier, but I must not have hit 'publish' (I'm kinda on the edge of the flu right now, so I'm probably not clicking on all cylinders). . .
Anyway, 180 miles is even more than a day's round-trip commute for me. As Gman said, it's a good thing I like to drive. . .
I understand about being the only licensed driver. That's usually what puts us over the edge to getting the next kid licensed - when it becomes more painful to drive everybody around, than to put up with the whole learning process (oh, and the kids have to pay their own insurance. . .)
WordVer = 'skilho'
Which I should probably just leave alone. . . ;)
I'm a fellow mom taxi driver, so I totally get this!
Dad taxi here. Also teaching one young son how to drive. Can't wait for him to drive himself places. Great 55. Real slice of life.
That's how it goes.
Some you win, some you lose.
Like you said, just as well you have a valid licence.
I thought having my son turn 16 and start driving would stress me beyond my ability to bear it. The thought of letting my precious out on the roads was so frightening to me before the fact! But now that that time has come, I can honestly say, "Hallelujah! I don't have to drive him!!! Woot, woot!!!" I am finding that I am so glad for this part of this stage of life!
Those parental duties seem to go on forever - then, suddenly, they're gone and we long for them again. Taxi service is suspended, and many little errands are in abeyance - but, if we're lucky, grandchildren come along and we're needed again!
The Sun comes up
The Sun goes down
The hands on the clock
Go round and round.
I'd like to get up
But I'd sooner lie down
Life get's tedious,
don't it.
Nice 55!
Wishing you peace.
P
That's a lot of driving! I can't imagine adding another working person's driving on to my list.
Perhaps you should start charging fees !
Mine will be elligible to drive in 7 years. Wow.
Hope you got some good tunes for the road?
xo
Wow! that's a lot of mileage Michelle. No wonder you are feeling tired! - Dave
Take it easy!
sinning through the skin
Holy wow. When you lay it all out like that...man.
So many of us wish we were nearby and could pitch in. I know I do.
