Slice of Lime-It's So Tasty Too!

I have begun a 10-day nutritional detoxification program that is being offered at work. It's a well put together system with good nutrition and research behind it, not just some over the counter thing.  There's a nutritional drink powder to make sure you're still getting all the vitamins, minerals, and proper balance of fats, proteins, and carbs that you need as you eliminate certain foods which may be causing problems due to sensitivities.  The dietary plan seems manageable and not unpleasant.  It just requires some careful planning.  Tuesday was the first time I used the shake.  Lord have mercy...

When my children were young I taught them not to say they hate the food they are given.  They were allowed to say, "It's not my favorite."  I would like to emphatically state this vile swill which seems barely fit for human consumption and which I like to refer to as powdered sewage is most assuredly NOT my favorite.

I am assured that on days 5-7 of this program I will be craving this shake just to fill me up and stave off hunger.  I think I'm going to have to be hungrier than I've ever been before in my life to experience that particular craving.  If Hugh Jackman presented himself to me naked save for a layer of this stuff I'd likely turn down the opportunity to lick him clean.

Please excuse me.  I need to go shave my tongue.

Well, you're still a few years away from your first colonoscopy, which is just as well, 'cuz THAT stuff is the vilest I'VE ever tasted.

And you also remind me that I had a recent CT scan, and how delicious that barium milkshake was. . .

Anyhoo. . . enjoy yer next ten days; 'cuz, um. . . better you than me. . . ;)

I absolutely LOVE how you have no problem putting pics of yourself with that particular expression on your face on the internet... You Go Girl!.... Btw, did you lose heat or something?

Love the faces! So, are you sure you really need to be detoxified? And if Hugh Jackman shows up covered in that stuff, just grab a towel, wipe him off, and lick away! ;)

Lmao. Thanks for the morning yuk. And yuck, apparently. Not your favorite? I guess not. On the other hand, I doubt you have a favorite "vile swill."

I'm just sayin'.

Haha! Those pictures are the BEST! Awesome. :)

My kids are taught to say, "I'm not a fan." if they don't like something I've made. They used to whine and cry and say they hated this or that and I would tell them that that hurt my feelings. Now when I force my Tommy to take another bite of his meatloaf he looks and me and whines, "But maaaaa, I'm not a big fan!!!!"
hahaha!

Ah, darlin', I could say something about how Mr. Jackman might add something to the taste, if you licked him clean, but that would be in just about as bad taste as that stuff you're telling us about.

I do not ingest nutritional beverages. If it's not in pill form, forget it. And it can't be a horse pill either!

I think it's marvelous that Hilary chose to send folks here for a POTW mention for what has to be the worst your lovely face has ever looked. I hope some of those folks stick around and get to see you in your natural beauty...

Half a squeezed lemon in hot water every morning is all you need to clean your system, Lime. Veg. for lunch and fruit in the evening for a week and I guarantee bright eyes, sweet breath and a clean colon.

Loved, loved loved the photos.

I can say that would have been the last try for me. I have tried a few others. One time we had a contest to get better blood work and win $100. I started without vitamin suppliments and then added them to my regime and little changed, except I lowered my cholestral, which might have been my ice skating everyday.i got the money but didn't read the fine print when I started, toward atheltic equipment. I got some new shoes.

OMG! You are channeling lucy Ricardo! Even the name of your stuff resembles Vitameatavegamin - yours is Metagenics - so hilarious!

And your facial epressions are every bit as funny as Lucy's!

Congrats on a very well-deserved POTW!

So do you fill like one of the happy, peppy people now, or are you just a little bit tipsy?
