Da Count in a Friday 55-Unexpected Pleasures

A peaceful ride,
a pink sky reflecting on the snow,
a flock of birds tracking across the sky
above trees silhouetted
in a brightening sunrise,
the sun cresting over the mountains.

I am no morning person
and I definitely did not look forward
to a long and early commute
but it has had its
unexpected pleasures.

I am not a morning person. I do love the sunrise and sunset over snow! I think God loves the color pink.

I am always glad when I get to bed early enough so I can be a morning person... I love the quiet beauty of it.

But your day ends sooner too. More free time in the evening! Seriously, you do adjust to the time change.

A morning commute such as this would certainly be full of pleasures! Mine is awfully boring by comparison.

For someone who isn't a morning person you have described a sunrise beautifully. Nicely done.

And the flip side?
The ride home is a mad, furious, and congested dash to the finish!
But thats another post...hehehe

I always love it when you play.

I'm not a morning person either, but you painted a pretty picture with your words here that make it sound inviting!

Ah, lovely. Get a big coffee to go and that's not a bad way to start the day.

This is beautiful.
I am no morning person but there have been times when I've found myself awake very early and then was able to witness a gorgeous sunrise. It was worth it.
Lovely post!

I'm very much a morning person. Those sorts of sights are the reason why!

I'm not a morning person either but I never regret when a morning like this one greets me.

There we go. Like you, I find mornings to be Not Fun. But when I can let go of my general stress at having open eyes, I sometimes find something good, too. Like pink, up high.
