HNT-What Have I Done? (Tie Dye #12)

In the last month or so each of my Limelets has had to be run to the ER. I really thought that wouls be an end to the run of bad luck. Apparently I was wrong. Yesterday While I was on my way home from just financing a tank of gas some doofus decided to leave his lane and run into my van. I am fine, no damage to me, thank God. The van didn't fare quite as well. From the back you can really see how the bumper is dangling.

For this week's HNT I wanted to wrap myself up in caution tape and let you know that exposure to Lime can be hazardous to your health. Lacking caution tape for said pose I will merely lift my little cup and ask, 'Brother can ya spare some good karma?'

(To continue the tie dye theme notice the shirt. I didn't put it on especially for the picture. I was already wearing it. This is the same shirt I was wearing when I plummetted from the zipline and Janita was born. This is the same shirt I would not let the ER workers throw away after they cut it off of me...the shirt I begged my mother to somehow sew back together because I love it so. She sewed it back up because she loves me. Do I have an awesome mom or what? However, I am now wondering if perhaps it brings bad luck. Maybe this should be #13 and maybe this particular tie dye needs to be burned.)

Happy HNT

I think you should throw yourself a little voodoo ceremony in the backyard and burn that shirt. Good karma will then fill your cup! (If you see some old woman sprinkling dirt in your yard you are doomed...can't tell a just read a southern book with a little "magic" in it can ya?) Love ya!

Why am I thinking about Brady Bunch episodes after reading this post? I don't think Mrs. Brady contemplated burning her tie-dyed shirt -- and we all know she had one tucked somewhere in her dresser.

Good luck for you starts now.

At least I hope so. ;)

Funny how we get so attached to things..but wish that bumper had remained more attached to your van. Here's to things looking up for you. (and keep the shirt...i'm not superstitious)

You must have had some good times wearing the shirt so maybe they could outnumber the bad. Shame about the car. Roads would be much safer if it weren't for all the other drivers!

Hi Lime,
If you wore that for your child's birth, I'd hold on to it, I don't think you could have been blessed any better than that.
Van's are replacable, that may have been a blessing in disguise, there's better MPGs to be had.
As for good karma, isn't that like love, don't you have to give more to get more?

HHNT!! Love the Tie-Dye actually and even if you decided to not wear it anymore, you should keep it!

Damn . . . I'll bet that was more than a bit scary.

That cup isn't nearly big enough to hold all of the good karma I'm sending you, sweet peach.

You do not look amused.

Sorry to read about the fender bender.

You're looking at it wrong. You were wearing that shirt and broke your arm instead of your head. YOu were wearing the shirt, got in a car accident and DIDN'T end up in the ER. That's the LUCKY shirt! Um...just the same I'd consider wearing it to bed only. To preserve the luck. :-) I can't imagine your karma is bad baby. You and the family have survived some pretty horrific shit relatively unscathed. De Budda, him smile pon yuh gyul!

Ummmm....I'm thinking that that shirt is definitely trying to tell you something. It's worth the number 13! Maybe you need some cider in your cup along with a dash of karma.

Glad to hear you're ok and wow....what's with all the visits to the ER? I thought that stuff only happened to me...

HHNT to ya anyway.

Financing gas...that's funny...and TRUE! You should see the price of it in England...TWICE AS MUCH...YIKES!

OH! That look, soooo pitiful.
Did you learn that from the kids?
Glad you are ok
mwah!

Hmmm, well with all that's happened just think of all the good karma you've accumulated! Now, how to access it, well, that's another issue. :)

HAPPY HNT!

Could it be the shirt? Would tie dye curse you so? How could it? Not you Limey Dear... Not you.

Cosima said...

Noooo! Don't burn it! You are save and sound, and bumpers can be replaced. Your shirt might have been just a little bit overworked from trying to shield you from all that bad karma of late.

Jocelyn said...

Yea, you are bad news.

Nice job, trying to blame it on the shirt. Maybe you need to do a controlled study and put the shirt into situations where you are far away--and see if the shirt gets mangled or ends up in the ER.

Do the same test on YOU, not in the shirt.

And then, of course, tell us all about it!

A moenot of clarification ... "plummetted from the zipline and Janita was born" were two differnt events right???

barman said...

The picture, the caption are all perfect.

Now don't blame the lovely shirt and do not get rid of it. From what I can tell a shirt can not possibly cause karma, good or bad. What I did see however...

In resolving the issue of Karma we learn about ACCEPTANCE and avoid PERFECTION. You aren't a perfectionist, are you?

If you ask you I agree, this shirt is actually lucky. Glad you are OK after the accident.

That face. I love that face! Sad as it appears, it is gloriously knowing and tolerant.
