The children can't get along.
The plumbing is leaky.
There was a call from the school.
Dinner's burnt.
Work is a grind.
The dog chewed my good shoes.
The car died.
The bills are piling up.
I'm glad you're home, honey.
It's good to be home, come sit with me.
I thought you'd never ask.

Would make for a good country and blues song. :P
I so love stories with happy end :).
PS: I answered your questions.
That sounds pretty close to normal life.
:)
Sweet.
wow, I think that was my day 2 weeks ago. I could of used a good hug..
Fantastic 55!
Those two lovers just need a smaller house, that way, there's just nowhere else to sit but next to you!
Have a lovely weekend Lime...
such a lovely painting!
home sweet home..& counting your blessings...
..nothing like love..
Aw, you just made my day with that picture and poem. Don't know why but it truly hit the tender spot. Great post.
Ahhh... sweet count. :)
I always like the words that aren't said in a poem, or I like to put my own thoughts in there. The husband actually asks the wife to sit next to him so she isn't blocking his view of the game on the TV or so he can tell her that he lost his job...sheesh, I need to get outside and get some sunshine.
AWWWWWW!
Awe that is a really sweet 55. I love the picture you used to compliment the short story!
It's good to remember that love isn't just hearts and flowers. Thank you lime.
That's what I need tonight, just to be held...hopefully he'll hold you through the whole weekend.
I love it. Especially the honey being home part!
What's up tith Tommy? I can't get to his page and his emails are boing returned. R U getting the same thing?
Yeah, my computer is "down for maintenance" so I'm on my hubby's and don't have his other contact info. Damn ... it was easier when I was just down the hall from him, not he's "across post".
Awww Limey..
Happy ending!!
Thats why they call it fiction!...xoxox
Isn't that just the best!!
Does that mean Mr. Lime gets da count this week? ;)

That's a great ditty! I hope leaky plumbing and dead car you mentioned are not true and are just artistic license.
Very good, I loved it. I hope all is well in the house of lime and this is nothing but fiction. If not, then next to each other sounds pretty darn good.
How could you not describe your good shoes? What kind are they? Heels?
Give me more.
Not that I have a problem.
(natch, your 55 is lovely. Always makes me catch my breath a bit)
Good to know its a happy end!
Wishing you and your family a great end to your week :D
Life in PA, what could be better? (Yah, I know, lots of stuff...) Mines up!
Very sweet....Lucky Mr. Lime.
the week ends and work is done and you're just too tired... it's good to know you have a warm place to rest and go home to... your family's loving arms.
...and Placido Domingo is sitting on your sofa kissing some girl.
Nice.
After all the crap chasing modern life is over for the day the most important thing for a family is the love they have for each other. Have a great weekend Lime.
That was great! Best yet.
I love this post.
It is so sweet.
To remind us why.
We get up every morning.
Thanks.
What a great 55.
That poem makes me think of our golden years. The reason they call it the golden years is that you only have to deal with the grandkids and they go home after dinner.
The kids will call every once in awhile to borrow money but you can tell them you don't have your hearing aid in so you can't understand one word they're saying and those telemarketers need to get lost anyways.
Poetry Rules! Nice one!
THAT was good. I like it a lot...great image...and you write so well.
You should come over to my place and write. You could win a prize, you know.
Hope you had a good week-end. Ours was crazy...and I'm up too late again getting in the mommy quiet time. Dang.
big xo
Great 55! I miss all of my blogging buddies now that I am working, I feel like I never get by to say hey.
Take care and have a great week !
