Friday 55 & Da Count-Dreams

Long ice cream lines at Mayan temples.
$54 for melted ice cream cone towers when I want a milkshake.
Paco the cook is smarter than the boss.
Next lady doesn't know her flavors, bare hands scooping.
John Cleese takes my family hostage.
I remove my eyeball to get dirt off it.
John's impressed, gives cunnilungus.

headache

Ok, I just know that last line woke you all up after you were scratching your heads wondering what the heck I was talking about. I very rarely have dreams I can remember in the morning but lately I have been having some seriously weird dreams. That whole mess up there is just a quick synopsis of 2 of the more bizarre ones. Sorry, I had nothing else for the 55 this week. Sometimes coming up with a thing to count is tough too. It's not because I am so ungrateful for good things in my life. It's because I want it to be something I can write about in a somewhat interesting way.

No I am not counting the bizarre nocturnal ramblings of my so obviously disturbed mind...I mean really...I have dreams about towers of ice cream cones that are too expensive and melt before I can eat them...then I have a sex dream about John Cleese??? What the hell is wrong with me??? Although I did wake up laughing after each of those absurd dreams....but I digress.

What I am counting is real dreams. I've been wanting to do a post about them for a long time. I've had something languishing in drafts for ages. I've had some real dreams languishing in draft for ages too. I think going to Texas alone gave me time to think about them. Seeing a dear friend marry the man of her dreams, knowing some of the dreams they share, meeting Seamus and seeing how he's making some of his dreams come true, seeing evidence of dreams come true for Signgurl when I got to meet her, hearing G-man say I made a dream come true for him, it all gave me pause.

Some of my dreams were buried alive and I was haunted by the way they scratched beneath their graves. Others were put on a shelf and carefully preserved. They need dusting off. Some new ones have been born and are crying to be fed. I've apologized for some dreams, neglected others, let a few die. I've been overjoyed to nurture a dream of two for others. I still have dreams. This week I'm counting my own dreams and trying to figure out how to give them life.

Invitation
If you are a dreamer, come in,
If you are a dreamer, a wisher, a liar,
A hope-er, a pray-er, a magic bean buyer...
If you're a pretender, come sit by my fire
For we have some flax golden tales to spin.
Come in! Come in!
~Shel Silverstein

With your second line itself I knew it was a dream you were talking about!

The last line confirmed it!

& now that you mention & I come to think about it... I never ever had a dream about sex! Wonder how I've managed to keep that at bay..or rather how my dreams have managed to keep that at bay!

I've had this one about a bear, walking upright, hiding behind a tree, since I was fairly young. I have no idea what it means, but I've had it several times in my life, and it's very vivid.

Just thought I'd share, lol . . .

OMG those sound like malaria induced dreams.

You know I love that Klimtesque picture of you.

About 6 years ago, someone from India said to me, "You will never be happy, Suse, until you start realizing some of your dreams."

Going to India was one of them, and now I am ready to go my 5th time....
Learning how to work with wood was another...I am in my 5th semester of wood shop!....etc
I always wanted to look good in the clothes I design, but I felt soooo frumpy...then I lost 40 pounds....

Looking forward to seeing you realize some of your dreams.

Sounds like you're having lots of fun lately... not sure about the dreams, though!

As a life long dreamer (both in my waking and sleep life) I have also sometimes been called a rainbow chaser. The trick (and it is a tough one) is to choose which one to actualize next. Yes I so relate to both the 55 and this count... except for the John Cleese part. lol!

that had to be the utmost coolest dream in the world.

And the picture is really cute...and sexy.

That's some incredibly expensive ice cream! ;)

And a wonderful Da Count. Shel Silverstein has always held a special place for me.

With $4/gal gas being discussed can $54 ice cream cones be far behind?

Pursue some those put away dreams, they are part of finding your true happiness.

The mushroom would please Alice, I'm sure.

You've got ovaries girl, as well as bizarre dreams... to share them right here in front of God and all the world takes a little extra something LOL. Shel Silverstein has been my companion, and that of my children since long before the great smoke-off... and Sarah Cynthia Stout was and still is a household name LOL!

Fabulous post - I love what you said about dusting off some dreams. It is good to keep some of them alive, to take them out and fire them up again.

I more like had the look on my face...WTF is she talking about here? Where is she going? You want to talk about some head scratching dreams, I'll have to tell you about some of mine!!

What a cute picture. Talk about being snug as a bug in a rug ;o)

I am currently dusting off a few dreams of my own. To stop dreaming... well, that would be terrible.

I know all about the whacked out dreams...my mind has been a labrinyth of craziness every night lately. As far as the real dreams, I have a few to work on too. Love ya!

John Cleese taking a family hostage? If I found out he took my family hostage, I think I'd be laughing too hard to act.

I've proudly climbed a few Mayan temples in my day. Aztec pyramids as well. Man, I keep hearing from Europhiles that America has no history. Want to slap them upside the head. The Aztecs, the Mayans, the Toltecs, the Lakotas, the Chumash, none of them have history? Idiots.

The funny thing is, I've removed my eyeball before to clean it too. How strange we both dreamed the same thing.

Never had cunnilungus in a dream. Dang it, got the wrong tools. :(

It's something here, in this post, that's between the lines----
This year, I can come as close to U as possible when in Miami. Physically. But - on the net - hmmm.

You are among my few fav blogs.

Take care

This was a great reminder for me as I need to be reminded of dreams; that they are there - noticed or not - that they are a part of our life and important to notice but to often to be forgotten - so thank you for sharing yours!

Btw: Thanks also for your nice comments and warm thoughts to Diane on my Love Story post :-)

That was a very interesting dream. I'm sure a dream analyst would have a field day!

Lawsy. I read your 55 and thought either you or I had blown a gasket. Only DREAMS could explain it.

I mean, oral sex with Cleese? Could happen. But scooping ice cream with bare hands? Stretches credibility.

Michelle, You are a great thinker..You are a great writer..You are a great Mother..You are a great human being..You are a Great Friend!

Thank You for making one of my many dreams come true...Galen xoxox

Dreams? I don't remember them. I do sometimes wake up with a lingering dream, think about it, then forget about it. I should get a notebook and leave it by my nightstand.

BTW, I hope you don't mind, but I tagged you with a MEME.

Dreams can be a real crazy thing..

I dont dream often, normally when I oversleep I get a good dream in that I remember.

some people keep a dream journal.. Perhaps that would be a cool thing for you to do?

Anyway.. Have a good weekend!

I often dream and always remember them. I look at it as a form of entertainment, hehe.

You are so sweet to write about my dreams coming true. I hadn't thought about it, but it's true. My first dream was always to have a healthy family. I never included myself in that dream, however it came true anyway.

I think you need to lay off the monty pythons & porn combo for a while. It is doing things to your head girlfriend. What type of milkshake. That is very important in the analysis. Is it a simple vanilla or a chocolate malt or something outlandish like blackraspberry banna? Dreams rule, that is how I know we are divinely inspired. ;)

Wow, those are weird dreams.

Although, I do know a place out here that sell ice cream close to those prices.
