Made It

Roads at home were kind of awful when we left but got to the airport fine and made it to Georgia safely. MIL is walking around much better than I expected her to be and she is beyond thrilled to be at home after a month in the hospital/nursing home. My back is kinda meh but not awful. I'm already being called and texted by Mr. Lime and the Limelets not knowing where things are, what to do, what to cook, etc. Pretty funny.

Thanks to one and all for the prayers and good thoughts!

Absence always makes all you do more appreciated doesn't it. Too bad we have to fly hundreds of miles away for people to realize they just can't live without us :) Glad you made it safe, take care of yourself as best you can!

Hah! Had to laugh at that about your family calling, texting you, wanting to know this, that and the other! Gives you a good sense of 'importance" along with perhaps fostering a lot more appreciation from the family as to all the little things a mother does to keep things running as smoothly as possible.
Glad you MIL is doing better, that you back hasn't run off and left you floundering in mega pain and hope you continue to have things on an upward path.

Its funny that they cant fend for themselfs huh? When I had to come back and take care of my dad when he had his heart attack, Mr Gab said he would stay with the two grandsons who were living with us at the time and let them finish out the school year. Yet he mus have called me 6 or more times a day asking where is this that or the other and once in a while just to talk! Glad ur MIL is doing better HUGS

That is wonderful you made it in one piece. Hopefully the back will not get worse.

You know the family is just making you feel needed is all. I say you take advantage of that when you return home.

Dear Lime!

Thank God that Mil is better & feeling thrilled. I hope that makes things easier for you & get you a much deserved vacation of sorts since you so much need it. I also hope that this opportunity serves you & her both to discover the softer side of each other & feel the love and bond grow.

Take care of yourself Though.

Glad to hear you made it safely and hope you get some of the nice weather we've been having down here. Maybe the warmth will help your back. I guess I don't need to tell you to please don't over-due and lift anything heavy.

And it does not surprise me a bit that the Lime household is a bit confused~their life line is past the Mason~Dixon :)

Good to hear that you made it safely and that she's walking better than expected. I'll keep you both in my prayers.

So Lime is the Glue of the household???

reminds me of the simpsons episode where marge leaves and the place basically falls apart.
