Friday 55

*image from http://www.flickr.com/photos/martinreach/1796496711/

I'm stretched as thin as the line between sky and sea,
drifting like a speck on the horizon.
The current may just take me to where the dragons wait.
Won't you reach a little farther
and I will pull a little harder
so I can make it back to shore
and touch the land again?

nice... we all feel like that patient etherized upon the table, like the night sky (thanks T.S. Eliot)

I had power failure here & I missed it by a lot if more than a couple of minutes because of that!!!

But I'm glad I didn't have to lose my sweet ass to James Either!!!

so I call it a win/win.. er.. a loss/loss.. um hum... A DRAW!

I love the picture and I love your words! Beautiful my dear!

Two things:

One, I read your blog every day even though I rarely comment.

Two, I love Slice of Lime.

Three, (Ok, I know I said two but I wanted to mention the Slice, cause it's a great new addition) there's another army wife blogger who recently adopted a baby, and I thought she may appreciate hearing the perspective of someone who has a healthy outlook of their own adoption. I sent her your link and let her know that I would be leaving you a comment about her situation. (end matchmaking)

Megan said...

Ok, I was wrong. Continue matchmaking, since I forgot to give you her URL in the last one: http://erinrages.blogspot.com/2008/05/adoption.html

Your picture took my breath clean away. Who wants to go back to land when floating blissfully along in the glow of that sunset??? Thanks for making my visual day today - wow. Nice Friday 55.

Beautiful, beautiful, Lime.

I've been that drifting speck, headed towards the dragons. Know the feeling too well.

Yeah, I know that feeling being stretched like that and bumped into a few dragons myself. Love the picture and wish I was there.

You just described to the tee exactly how I'm feeling this weekend. I haven't been stretched this thin in a while and I feel the heat of the dragon's breath a bit on my toes...

Perfect. What a talent you have!

Just cruising through and catching up and I know I commented before, but just wanted to say....
I'm reaching, pull harder.

This so speaks to me today where I skimmed it before. My loss. Glad I came back.
