Slice of Lime-Bridge Over Troubled Water

When I was feeling so frustrated, defeated and totally unsupported by Mr. Lime earlier this week a lot of you were very supportive here. At one point I put my iPod on for a momentary escape. I needed something quiet and soothing to listen to so I choose Simon & Garfunkel. When this song came up I knew that's what friends had been. The question became how to illustrate it. So don't worry if I look depressed in these shots. I'm doing better now and this is a just a dramatic re-enactment. Thanks again.

When you're weary, feeling small,
When tears are in your eyes, I will dry them all;
I'm on your side. when times get rough
And friends just cant be found,
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down.
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down.

When you're down and out,
When you're on the street,
When evening falls so hard
I will comfort you.
Ill take your part.
When darkness comes
And pains is all around,
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down.
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down.

Sail on silvergirl,
Sail on by.
Your time has come to shine.
All your dreams are on their way.
See how they shine.
If you need a friend
I'm sailing right behind.
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will ease your mind.
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will ease your mind.

A dramatic re-enactment of depression! That one still has me giggling. I'm glad to hear it's lifted, though.

Excellent re-enactment to create rather haunting images. I hope you don't go through the real thing again anytime soon. :D

That just about expressed how you felt at the time! The song is inspiring. It was in the hit parade for weeks at one time.

You can't stay depressed in tie-dye! The dark black & whites are very expressive. That was a great, great song! I guess I'll be humming it for hours now... thanks.

I have loved that song since the first time I heard it. I, like Galen, can't see these images, they are completely black on my screen.

Hope this week is going much better!

I'm so glad to read that you are doing better. I love the melancholy look of these pictures and the song seems apropos of the support we seem to get here in Bloggerville.

Hugs to you!

Oh and one more thing too - I do love the song -the lyrics especially but also the haunting beauty of the melody too! One of my all-time favorites. Again -Peace! However, I don't see my earlier post so now I'm wondering if it's in limbo-land or lost or what. Too many questions.

I'm so sorry they don't appreciate you and take you for granted. I hope you let them have it! Let them know that you will not be taken for granted. Will not be a servant to them. Go on strike if you have to, to make your point. Nothing like being deprived to make a point.

I love that song! Your pictures may show a depressed you, but they are extremely artistic. Looks like I have some catching up to do. Whatever it is Mr. Lime has done to you, you tell him he'd better shape up...otherwise he'll have a lot of angry bloggers on his hands. Tell him not to make me come over there...

That is one of my all time favourite pieces of music and the lyrics are perfect. Believe every bit of it. Like a bridge over a great big Pond. ;0)

Wonderful pictures and I am glad you are doing better (and even better now that it is SATURDAY). Good for you in letting people know what was happening and for taking care of you.

Have a great second half of the weekend Lime.

Good to know you feel at least a bit better - you don't deserve this!

Wish I could be a kind of a bridge for you too - great comfort in that song!
