Slice of Lime-Turn Me On

Like a flower
Waiting to bloom
Like a lightbulb
In a dark room
I'm just sittin here waiting for you
To come on home and turn me on

Like the desert waiting for the rain
Like a school kid waiting for the spring
I'm just sitting here waiting for you
To come on home and turn me on

My poor heart
It's been so dark
Since you've been gone
After all your the one who turns me off
You're the only one who can turn me back on

My hi-fi's waiting for a new tune
My glass is waiting for some fresh ice cubes
I'm just sitting here waiting for you
To come on home and turn me on
Turn me on

~Norah Jones~

What a beautiful view, and the scene out of the window isn't bad either.

very striking photo, Lime
and a great song to accompany it
hows about a bottle of wine and some good tunes - will that work?

I thought you were writing about Mr. Lime :) Nicely done. It made me miss my Love more than I already am as he just took off to go to a biofuel conference in Colorado - without me, on his birthday weekend. I thought we were going camping.

Hey, I have that same glass.

Oh, and same heart.

And oh, that same song in it.

Adjust your longing to include a gladness in knowing that you at least have someone who will return after a period of goneness.

Sigh.....

Lovely, my Lovely Limers.

(call me again when you can....i got news)

I hope you've found it by now.

Dangit. Here I'm thinking, "Wow, that Lime has some real nice words in her, huh?" Then I saw the Norah Jones thing. Oh well. False alarm. Excellent photos, though.

So here I am for my monthly (or so) visit and you have been prolific with the writing. YAY!
I regret that i don't visit enough to "get" some of your references, but as i keep coming back I continue to feel a likeness, especially when i see you on the sofa in a sarong. If it is covered with moons and stars, i would just die! It looks remarkably like one i picked up in St. Simons on my honeymoon. That was 7 years ago. Ever since then my husband and i spend most of our humid summers in them. Friends have gotten used to it, neighbors not so much. Kids just roll their eyes and wouldn't be caught dead (Mama, PLeeeeease put on some clothes).
Love your posts!

Laughing at "Dorky Dad's" comment. I think what he means is: Of course we know that you a fountain of great original thoughts and words! The occasional lyrics or quote is just fine and your devoted friends will continue to enjoy your posts.

And when he said, "excellent photos," I think what he meant to say was, "excellent photos." ;-)

That is really sweet and the look on your face says so much.
