Weird Politics

Here is the stuff of nightmares...Presidential candidate Cabbage Patch Dolls. They are supposed to be auctioned for charity. I don't even want to imagine anyone actually thinking these things are something they'd want in their house, much less pay a ridiculous sum of money for them. Please, just make the charitable donation and make the "dolls" go away. Bury them in the dirt in the cabbage patch. Here we have Obama himself. If you ask me he looks more like Bryant Gumbel's brother Greg.

Sarah Palin just looks like a somewhat hipper Mrs. Beasley, who I always thought was kind of a creepy looking doll to begin with.

The Joe Biden doll reminds me more of uber-creepy televangelist Jack Van Impe.

And if you haven't been completely skeeved out by those, here we have the John McCain doll....complete with mortuary makeup. Seriously, I don't think McCain has that much color in real life. What child wouldn't want to be tucked in at night without clutching one of these. Sort of sends a shiver up your spine, doesn't it?

Now for some truth is stranger than fiction take this quiz to see if you have what it takes to be President.

(For those of you how all but demanded to see the wedding gown mentioned yesterday, tune in tomorrow. How can I resist popular demand? Well, ok, so the popular vote didn't really win it, but maybe the electoral vote? Ok, well enough of you expressed interest that as per the ruling of the Supreme Court of Lime it constitutes a victory.)

The dolls... ugh. Who decided that these frightening distortions should represent actual people?! Sick and wrong. They may as well have created Treasure Trolls or Smurf dolls from the candidates!

The presidential quiz... I answered 85% of the questions better than previous presidents. Hmph! That's MY take on it, anyway.

holy crap, i just got a twisted idea for a prank to play on a sleeping friend. assemble all these dolls on the bedside, watch them wake up, listen for screams

OK, I got the 15 percent that Craver Vii missed. I went in with a rediculous frame of mind and it showed.

The dolls are just weird and please, I do not want to remember 2006, 2007, and 2008. I want to just pretend like they were a dream and not the nightmare they actually were.

Something funny happened to me today I thought I would share. We have a TV in the lobby of the building I work at. They had Palin doing a speach at some rally or something. I kept expecting Fay to say a punch line. I can not see the woman (Palin) and not think Saturday Night Live. Interesting.

Now please put the dolls away. This is reminding me of a Twilight Zone or Outer Limits episode...

Yikes! I heard the charity is Toys for Tots. I hope some crazy person(s) pay a pretty penny and the charity raises a lot of money. They are pretty weird looking though.

Heh, heh. Barman, according to the quiz-writers, I only scored 15%. That's why I declared that I scored 85% better than them. I guess I have a Napoleon complex or something.

I always thought Cabbage Patch dolls were ugly, and this confirms it! Remember those Garbage Pail kid cards? Crude, but funny!

Balou inspired me somehow. Can we use these dolls as voodoo dolls and poke pins in them? Maybe this could be fun after all. We could pose them too. Palin slipping tongue to Obama... yep, could have some possibilities.

Did they have Halloween in mind when they made these, or are they just another way to part the gullible from their dollars?
Only Damien would like to cuddle one of those. They are awful.

ARRGH! Just gag me with a gigantic pitchfork and put me out of my misery NOW! What kids wants a "political" type doll at any time, ever?

Oh I just hate Cabbage patch dolls. FUGLY! And those polytainment patch dolls are even worse.

BARFFFF!!!

While we are at it, I hate polytainment too. When can we get some real leaders?

Well, the Cabbage Patch format just sorta automatically entails plumper cheeks than any of those folks (esp. Barry) have for real. And I'm sorry, but there's just no way that John McCain can sensibly be rendered as 'cute'. . .

I saw these dolls on the tube a couple of days ago. Well, at least the surreal circus is over in a week.

Remember the days when shoppers would fight over these dolls?

I don't think anyone is going to fight over these. I hope they didn't make more than a few hundred.

Realizing that the intelligence of the dolls might be equal to that of a few of the real candidates (I won't name anyone) I feel a deep dark foreboding coming over me.

OK I came over for the cookies!

They look like characters in a horror movie.
