Back to the Beach

Before I resume the job hunt in earnest I am taking a few days to park myself in the sand with a stack of books. The routine will be rise late, eat, go to the beach and read until I am sweating to death, jump in the water until I am cold, return to the books on the beach, rinse, lather, repeat...
See you in a few days.

Sounds like a great time... read a few pages for me, will you? I brought books with me... but by the end of the day... after making bear food and feeding the bears and cleaning up after the bears and educating the public about the bears... I'm a bit to tired to read... Enjoy your solitude... would love some myself right now. :)

"Sweating to death..." as in mostly dead??

That flower/sunset pic is sweetly serene.

It's a great idea to live free before you decide to enter servitude.

First I hope you have a great time at the beach soaking in all the relaxing you possibly can. I just caught up a little and I must say you deserve a little relaxing.

I am so sorry to hear about the car accident and the full schedule you had at the time. It is a shame that added to the concussion that I still have no idea what happened. Add to that the job search and the job that was not meant to be. And still you wrote that wonderful count.

You are a rock. A rock that gets shaken sometimes but still I look up to you for being able to do all that you do.

I wish you well on the continued job hunt. Things are none to pretty in Michigan either but my Brother in Law managed to get a job after he lost his because his plant moved overseas. He only had one week down time. Of course he worked hard for 4 to 6 months getting resumes together, doing practice interviews, polishing the resume many times, and submitting many job applications. He had some possibilities but he passed them up because they involved him being a long ways away from home which meant to much added expense for the job to work. Finally he was 1 of 250 people to apply for a job right here at his home. People he knew that worked there helped him out. His boss went the extra mile and then some. He talked to the person over at the new job and said a lot of good things. That was even more important because his boss and the HR person knew each other. All things fell into place and after only 1 week out of work he had a new job. Of course I do not want to detract from the fact that my Brother in Law is good at what he does so he earned the job too... I just had to say that.

The thing that was meant to be happened. I know I do not need to tell you this Lime but hang in there. You did not get that job for a reason. The right job is out there and I just know you have so much good karma built up that that alone should help you find that job. Best wishes to you always.

P.S. Sorry for the book I wrote and the off topic reply. I hope you had a nice relaxing time.

What a great way to spend some time. Enjoy it as long as you can. And good luck with the job hunt - not an easy task in these terrible times.

I so often associate a book with where I was when I read it--and where my life was when I read it. For example, I'll always remember finishing Elizabeth Arthur's ANTARCTIC NAVIGATION at 7 a.m. in Colorado Springs in 1994.

So which of the books you've just read will you always associate with this particular beach getaway?
