It's summer.
It's hot.
I have long hair.
When it gets this hot I can't stand to have my hair down.
I frequently go with a ponytail just to get the hair off my neck.
The ponytail is effective but frequently gets pretty messy looking.
What can I say, my hair is wild and fights being tamed...
but I needed to find a decent way to get through the summer at work
and not look like a complete slob.
Although I am in desperate need of a proper haircut,
I'm waiting until the weather gets cool
because for now it's long enough to do this,
which keeps it reasonably tidy
even when I drive with the windows down
(necessary since my car has no AC)
and when I have a long, hot day.

Hey, that looks real nice!
I love braids! These look great. Mine is finally long enough I can get it into one nice french braid again without a hundred bobby pins. I taught myself because mom use to make my eye brows pull up :) Very nice!
Beautiful! I had a moment of fear, thinking you'd gotten a Dorothy Hamill wedge.
I think I may have mentioned before that I LOVE YOUR HAIR. As someone who has had a lifetime of struggle with mousy, fine hair that has been blonde, platinum, red,and brown in the mistaken belief that putting colour in strengthens hair, and now struggle to make my resolutely white and whispy hair look less than old agey...I dream of hair like yours. I has a life force all it's own...it is glorious, a true crowning glory. If you cut it I shall be obliged to go into mourning.
Looks really good like that though.
I kind of like that look on you Michelle its very becoming!
my hair isn't nearly long enough to do that...but it has been hot here, too. However, it rained this week! Come dance in the rain with me :)
Oh! I like that!
That's a cute twist on a French Braid; my daughters love the French Braids (which is how I even have the first clue as to what they are). . .
Hot Neck baby!!!
G man is a flirt!
Lime, that reminds me of the hair styles of Ajanta cave paintings in India!
people have done research on those very hair styles and have written thesis on them!
Oh cute. You do have great hair.
Cool braids. I sometimes do a french braid, but in the summer it's mostly in a ponytail. Actually, in the winter, too.
Groovy do. Something about a woman with her hair up makes my heart go pit-a-pat. Just one of those things ;-)
word veri: rhump. Hm. Kinda like those too.
I had my hair cut a few months ago - it was long but many years ago I learned that long hair and motorbikes do not go together! lol!
That is lovely! And it looks difficult to do.
