Slice of Lime-Whatever Works

Wednesday I packed some leftovers for lunch.  I wasn't overly enthusiastic about them.  At lunchtime I just plain didn't want them at all.  A coworker ordered Chinese takeout and that was all the encouragement I needed to do the same.  She got something I hadn't seen before and it looked and smelled enticing enough that I duplicated her order and added spring rolls (which I devoured in the car before I got back to the office to eat the rest).  She said it was option D2 on the healthy option lunch menu.  When I looked it was called "Grasp at Good Luck."

Given the last few weeks around here I figured if I could buy some good luck for $7.75 and fill my belly in the process I was going to buy it, grasp it with two hands, and snarf it down with gusto.

I hope you enjoyed your lunch Mrs. Rockefeller!

I often did hat when I worked. You know, pack sandwiches from home then end up going for hot, tasty takeaways. Sometimes you just can't help it....

I could eat Chinese every day - or anything from that part of the world... Thai, Cambodian, Korean. Yum.

Current craving: Shrimp/Basil fried rice, a couple of Nime Chow, maybe an order of Hae Kainge. Mmmm.

Would you believe I despise Chinese food? That looks awful to me! But glad you enjoyed your lunch, Lime.

LOL on the g-man comment. Where does he live?

Well, as Luck goes, that at least looks pretty good. . .

And yeah, $8 for lunch is why I mostly just pack my lunch (so I understand the impulse to splurge, every once in a blue moon). . .

I'm guessing for your $8, you got more than one feed from this. Am I right? Looks delicious, in any case, and maybe I come from a pricey part of the universe, but $8 doesn't sound hideous anyway.

Some days left-overs are wonderful and others... trash.

I don't think I recognize that one, but I'll try anything once. The drizzled soy sauce makes a nice accent for the photo.

Even if it goes up to $8.50, keep getting it. Do it for both of us--I would KILL right now for that food. On a semi-related note, there were pickles and corn on the Turkish pizza tonight.

Sounds good. I have done that - where I look at the lunch I've brought and don't want it at all.

There are entirely too many veggies on that and not enough fried meats to be any good at all. ;)
