Slice of Lime-Redneck Edition

A few of you seemed especially interested in seeing the pictures of me all rednecked up for the party last weekend.  Here I am in all my glory from the curlers in the hair to the sagging knee-his and crocs.  All I needed was a cigarette, a can of beer, and for the truck to be dangling a set of Truck Nutz.

My girls dressed up all purdy like too.  Diana got out her best hunting vest and Calyspo put on her newest flannel.

Here's me with my good pal, the host of our fine affair.  He combed his hair and tied it up with his best bandana.  The two of us share the same birthday so we had to get a picture, ya know?

Even my pal's daughter shares the same birthday so we all took another picture together.  She's the one there with the moustached twins and another young 'un the way.  She's drinking light beer now so she doesn't gain too much before she has the baby.  We had a real fine time, especially once the neighbor up the road took one of his cars off the black and let the kids have at it with some sledgehammers.  Good times...good times!

You know, I'd actually wear what Calypso is wearing around the house n a winter day. Looks cozy.

If you get invited to a 'Redneck Party' and you can go to your CLOSET to get dressed-up...

... you MIGHT be a Redneck!

Oh my and I thought only us southerners had the redneck thing going on... You guys take the cake : )

But as a southerner, as well as a friend, I feel it is my duty to share (for future parties) with ya'll the following:

"I was drunk the day my mom got out of prison, I went to pick her up in the rain. But before I could get to the station in my pick up truck, she got run over by a damned old train..."

Mentioning NASCAR would also be a bonus~

Happy Birthday beautiful one : ) Glad to see you all smiles~

Ah. The ever lovely Lime. Very nice.

A set of those funky fake teeth might be just the thing to complete the ensemble.

But, you know, we got rednecks up here in Michigan, too. The five rusty cars on blocks, the deficit of teeth, the mullet. . . And every once in a while, one of 'em calls me a faggot while I'm out ridin' my bike. . .

Or, you know, works up a really good fertilizer bomb. . .

I have a friend at work who went to a hillbilly party this past weekend. Hillbillies and rednecks are apparently THE costume this year. I referred my friend to this website I have bookmarked called hillbilly housewife.com it has recipes on it which I have been perusing in case I get invited to such a party. (Well actually there is a recipe for something called switchel on the website. I am thinking of brewing up some switchel which appears to be something I could use to clean the sink out with if I don't like the taste)

Anyway. You look great Michelle!
