Slices of Limelets-An Easter Tradition

When the Limelets were mere tots one of their grandmothers used to buy them new Easter clothes every year. Her one stipulation was that we'd send a picture of the children all bedecked in their holiday finery. I was often scolded for making faces at the camera as a child and told I'd grow up to regret ruining pictures. I never regretted it. in fact, I encouraged the same bad behavior in my kids. So we'd take the requisite "nice picture for Grandma" and the blow the roll of film making faces for the rest. Now in the digital age we can be unlimited in our silliness. I won't bore you with the 30 or so crazy mug shots I got to take with Boom-boom. Here are just a few I enjoyed.

Ok, everybody pretend you're trying to lay an Easter egg.

Diana's typical response to encroachment upon her personal space.

A sisterly response to a younger brother's attempt at cultivating a suave air.

I think we just found that last missing egg from last year.

Ok, quick, everybody behave for Grandma!

Heh, heh. I'd expect no less from you. You have beautiful children.

Re: Easter finery. I suppose I'm encouraging my children to follow their Dad's fashion ethic. Set the bar low. A real time and money saver. More comfortable too.

Hell, if I wear a shirt with buttons on it, people tell me how nice I look all day.

I'm with Cricket, on all counts. Truly good-looking humans in your brood. And it pays to dress down. I put on a suit perhaps two or three times a year. Whenever I do so, I get looks as though people just saw George Clooney walk through the door. Of course, if I wore one more often, they'd just look up, say "Hi, Jim", and then go back to their filing or whatever.

We are also fans of the 'OK, Goofy Shot!' thing. Perhaps I should post a few of 'em sometime. . .

Nice photos, tho - that's a real nice-looking brood you got there. . .

(You actually had 'em make a face like they were trying to lay an egg? I might have to steal that idea. . .)

You're such a fun and imaginative person!! Your photo albums are sure to be more fun than almost anyone else's.

I hope you took the egg-passing one last... in case someone was too productive and had an accident. ewwwwww...

Excellent read I just passed this onto a colleague who was doing a little research on that. And he actually bought me lunch because I found it for him smile so let me rephrase that: Thanks for lunch! Nice information, many thanks to the author. It is incomprehensible to me now, but in general, the usefulness and significance is overwhelming.
