First a Meme

1. Who was your first prom date?
Some guy who asked me to be his date thusly, "Some people don't think I am capable of finding a date. Will you help me prove them wrong?"  I don't know which was more pathetic, that he asked that way or that I accepted.

Austin, Texas when I was in 5th grade. Mom was very cool about it. She drove us to the little municipal airport so we could watch planes take off and land, then asked us if we wanted to go on one. We said yes and she said, 'Ok! Let's!' We got on this little prop plane and flew to Philadelphia. Got out and watched the big jets take off and land. She asked if we wanted to get on one of those. Our eyes got huge and we said, 'Yes?' she said, 'Ok, let's!' My brother and I were in complete shock. She planned the whole trip but never let on. Just picked us up from school and we flew to Texas for a week to see her friends. It was very, very cool.

My uncle's, it was his second of 5 marriages.

Look at the clock and die inwardly.

14. What was the first concert you ever went to?
It was a festival for a fusion punk band of Tuvalan throat singers and Swiss yodelers.

15. First piercing?
The scream I made upon exiting a womb.

#4... is there really a need for explanation? Lol.

I love your memes.

My parents used to get us to and from MD that way. Not on planes. But they would pile us all into the car after waking us up maybe around 4 am. So they got some free time from groggy children. As we started to come around, first doughnuts or something similar. Then... who wants to drive to another state? Let's go to RI! Ok. Halfway thru RI, How about another, let's go to CT!

&c&c. She had a few surprises here and there to bust out when we started to flag. Anyway, it worked for a while, at least 'til we were old enough to see the pattern.

#6 About pet funerals. I guess I have a reputation in the neighborhood. A few years ago some kids found dead bunnies and came to me to so I could perform a funeral service of sorts. I obliged.

#8 That was WAY cool of your mom! How fun!!

suldog, (big shit eatin' grin)

craver, many years ago our daughter required a funeral for her pet mice. the fish from the year before that were unceremoniously sent to "potty heaven." (her coinage)
