Hair Today....Gone Tomorrow

This is the hair both friends and former coworkers have tried to convince me to dye. I have refused except briefly adding a pink stripe for a friend who had breast cancer when she asked me to do so.  This is the look that Diana once referred to as my wild, drugged-out hippie hair.  This is also the hair I recently decided to cut  drastically.  I intended it as a symbolic thing to mark having completed treatment, a visual reminder of my new beginning.
This is the the new do.  My idea of cutting it really short caused my hair dresser to nearly faint.  In fact, she more or less refused very politely to do so.  This is, however, the new do that caused Calypso to grab me and weep because she missed what she referred to as my wild, bohemian hippie hair.

"Wait...what?  You and your sister have given me a hard time about my unruly mane for years,"  I protested.

"It's only because I'm so envious of your hair," she confessed.

Color me stunned.....just don't color my hair.

I think it's a wonderful way to celebrate your new beginning- and hooray for "wild, bohemian hippie hair"... and the successor do, too!

Looks great!

Every time my wife goes somewhere, when she comes home I ask her, "Did you do something to your hair, it looks great." Just in case she did something, cause I can never tell.

As a former portrait painter I just want to say that the new shorter dew frames your face nicely and, in my opinion, even makes you look younger. And not everyone can pull off a dash of gray in their hair but I think it looks classy on you.

The long hair does have a wilder, bohemian look, but they both look great on you.

Just don't color it, whatever you do. . .

I think the new do is very flattering and makes you look younger for sure. Shorter hair lifts the features plus the curl looks fabulous.

I agree with Craig. Don't color it. It is beautiful!

Your hair is gorgeous and so are you.

Love the new do - and if you decide you prefer the other, I'm sure it'll be back to the cool wild hippie hair soon enough.

I don't color my hair, either....even though co-workers encourage me time and again to do so. I quit cold turkey a couple of years ago. Now, I have lovely striped salt and cocoa hair. lol

You look YOUNGER with the shorter hair. That is discouraging to me because I am growing mine out. I hope to donate mine for wig making for cancer victims when (and if) it gets long enough.

I love looking at you no matter what but I do have to say the second pic looks really good. Your hair looks so curly and healthy and it really compliments your face.
I likes it, and what it represents too!

I'm trying to think of something complimentary that isn't repetitious or really lame.

I like the second picture better, but it has more to do with your eyes and the smile because your hair looks good (to me) in both.
