Friday 55

airport (2)

I'm tired today so instead of me coming up with a 55 word story I'm tossing up fodder for you all. Use this picture to stimulate a 55 word or less story. Who are these people? Where have they come from? Where are they going? What have/will they done/do? Why are they travelling?

I'm not going to be rigid here. If you go over 55 words there will be no punishment. Just give me a little story in the comments and later this weekend I'll tell you my version of events. But first, I want to hear yours.

Happy weekend to one and all.

*Update: the real story

"Come on, Calypso. Let's take Mommy's bag."
"OK, Diana. Do you think she has surprises from Trinidad in this bag?"
"My sweet girls, I have treats for everyone and hugs from all our friends."
"Mommy, did you miss us?"
"Terribly."
"Even when you were having fun?"
"Especially then. I wished we were having fun together."

One day my two sisters tried to run away from home. They didn't get very far, though. When they got to the airport, they were so cute the airline hired them as the world's youngest stewardesses. And they lived happily ever after.

It was finally time for the family's annual vacation, but since daddy lost the vacation fund playing the horses, they could only afford three tickets. So instead of staying home, daddy stuffed mommy in his suitcase for the flight.

"Daddy."

"Is mommy okay?"

"Of course dear."

"But mommy hasn't talked since you dropped your suitcase taking it out of the trunk."

"Mommy's just resting."

"Okay daddy."

"I asked Dad if you'd be sleeping in my room, and he said yes! We are going to have so much fun. So much more fun than we had at your house! You'll love my room. It's better than yours! Did you bring that pink dress, I want to try it on! I'm so glad you're finally here!"

but Roberts version is so sweet I can hardly stand it!

At first I thought you picked a random shot from the computer and then I noticed the hair color of the two girls....

I have a picture like that of Hannah and her pal Coco going through the airport dragging suitcases as well!

These are displaced residnets from the Gulf Shore of Alabama. This picture was taken last summer after the huricane. They are flying up to Grammies to get away from sleeping in the convention centre. Everything in their life is right there. Mom is taking the picture to remember that life carries on even when all else is lost. Just a remind of how the world comes together.

I wish that too!

I'm not good at writing stories. I'll have to wait for your version and read the other comments.

Hope you are having a safe, broken bone free weekend.
