Friday 55 & Da Count-Open Windows

Andrew Wyeth's Wind from the Sea

DA COUNT in a FRIDAY 55
(Counting the good stuff in 55 words. Let Lecram know if you've counted blessings and G-man know if you've counted words.)

The wind didn't come from the sea but yesterday was the first day it was warm enough to throw open every window in my house and air the place out. Mountain air fresh from early spring showers wafted the smell of warm, fertile earth through my windows to carry away the staleness of winter. Aaaahhh.....

Very nice. . .

Around these parts, the wind comes from the lakes, which doesn't carry the 'salty' edge of sea air, but it's still wonderfully fresh. . .

Blessings and words who could ask for better counts?

Oh! Open windows!!! How exciting! I can't wait for that. Although it will be some time yet around here. ;)

We dragons love fresh air but don't count so well. We had to count our entry several times.
Yours has such pretty images for us dragons stuck where it keeps snowing.

Thats a really nice painting. I love how he painted the curtains, that could not have been easy.

Hope you get to open the windows today too!

It works in both 55 and is so count worthy. I so know the feeling... the first rush is especially sweet. Cheers!

Nice to see the 55 is still alive in great writers.

I've started a new blog. I hope to see you there:

How odd. I like Wyeth, but I've never seen that one before. Or, at least, I don't recall it. I would love to see it in person. Those curtains are awesome.

It's always great to finally be able to open the windows and not be cold...and esp. nice to let some fresh air into the bedroom of a teenage son, right???

I already switched the front door's glass pane for the mesh screen. It's been colder than we expected, but we still had a few times of enjoying that fresh breeze. (inhaling deeply) Aaaaaaahh!

Nothing like warmth after a cold spell!

Ahh, open windows in spring. Bliss. I loved your post below about your son's appetite. I hate to tell you this, but at age 22 my son still puts the milk and orange juice back in the fridge with only 6 drops left in the bottom. Just enough to say he didn't drink all of it.

I thought I'd seen Wyeth. I've not seen this Wyeth.

I think it's one of my new favorite things ever.

Outside of your really long parenthetical asides in your comments.

That's something we still are looking forward to here in Norway.
Agree, it's something very special when the whole house has been renowed by the fresh smell of spring. It's like the house got new life.

I love how you do this so naturally. Excellent stuff. :)

You have visited me before but I have now had to go private on my blog. Consequently, I will send you an invite if you let me know your email address so I can do this. Do not feel obliged - but it is not genuine bloggers I am trying to exclude so all are invited. I just need email addresses to invite you. Thanks.
