Slice of Lime-Favor for a Friend

A little over 2 years ago I had the pleasure of meeting Gman, Signgurl, and Roximoon during a long layover in Detroit's Metro airport. Signgurl made a bunch of goodies to eat and all three of them drove out to share lunch with me. I was touched by the way they all came out of their way for my sake. (If he looks like he's blushing that would be because Signgurl and I goosed him in stereo when the picture was snapped.)

Today I'm going to ask you to go just a little out of your way to leave a note of cheer for Gman, who is having surgery today. As if it isn't bad enough to go into the doctor's office and be told you need a surgical goosing (so to speak) ASAP, Gman is having this today, on his 60th birthday. I'm pretty certain it's bound to be far less amusing than what occurred in the airport. I'd be grateful to those of you who take a minute to give him best wishes today and say a prayer, send some good thoughts, or some positive mojo.

Happy Birthday, my friend, and my best wishes for a speedy recovery.

I even came out of hiding for this and wished him well. I hope all goes well for him. I suppose that means no birthday spankings or even gooses for him ... for now.

Hey you know I'm all about the positive Mojo, but nobody told me G-Man had a birthday comin' up. Otherwise, I'd have gotten Tonka to turn out one of his patented tooncakes.

But now that I think of it, I m missed yours too didn't I?

I'm slippin' in my dotage I tell ya. Erm... Happy (way) belated. (He said sheepishly).

Oof! Sixty and Surgery, on the same day (and nothin' like a scalpel for yer b'day, eh? Oof, doubly!). . .

I'll be sure to stop on over and say Hi to my fellow Michi-gander. . .

And - aw, man, it was about that same time that we first met; if it was now, I'd be there with bells on to meet you in person. . .

WordVer = 'sunwood'; which must certainly be apropos of something or other. . .

...a long layover in Detroit's Metro airport.

In other words a short visit to Hell? Had a layover there a couple of times flying to and from Erie.

Today I'm going to ask you to go just a little out of your way to leave a note of cheer for Gman...

Mission accomplished.
