Friday 55 & Da Count-Leaving an Impressions

FRIDAY 55

It's true you weren't my first.
I had others before you.
One was long and sleek,
gliding effortlessly.
Another was thick and heavy
resting in my hand.
Some were useless,
leaving nothing but a mess.
Some were stolen away
by those who would use them
and lose them.
Keep your hands off my favorite pen.

Just a bit of fluff this week.  Everyone at work seems to have a favorite pen and we all seem to have our own hiding places for them.  I may have control of the front desk but I share it with another girl and at some point during the day everyone comes to the desk...and many times my pen goes missing.

DA COUNT

In something completely unrelated to writing implements I'm counting my mom this week.  I've counted her before but I'm counting her again because her mama radar went off and she showed up unannounced at my house when I was at my wit's end...ready and willing to do whatever might need doing to try to ease some of the strain around here the last couple of weeks.  I'm a lucky daughter.

This happens to me all the time! I'm forever searching for my favorite pen only to find it in the lab coat pocket of a colleague who has sticky fingers. Great job!

Argh! I hate that. I went into a sandwich shop here the other day and they had taped plastic forks and spoons to their pens at the cash register. It looked dorky, but apparently it works.

Congrats on having a great mom, too.

there is nothing like holding your pen in your hand...it just fits...

Glad that your mama was there when you needed her the most

I love the way pens are given personality so that people wont take them ( and they still vanish)

Awww,
mamas are the bomb, eh?

I hate losing my favorite pen of the moment. I can't seem to keep from losing them though.

Watch that pen Michelle. It probably cost your firm all of 20 cents each :-) - Dave

I've gotten ahold of some bad pens lately, so yes, a good pen is something to hold on to!

My favorite pen is a pencil... Dixon Ticonderoga #2.

Still, hands off, kids!

Hooray for Mom. Have a great weekend.

Good thing you included the picture of the pen, or I might've gotten confused. . . ;)

That mama radar is pretty amazing stuff. So glad for you that your mom has a high-quality installation. . . ;)

LOL... I used to have a "secret pen" too.

Moms are always good counts. Glad her radar went off for you when you needed it the most.

A fun 55!
Dr. Seuss with 6 colors. A memento from my son's last birthday. I'm sure someone else will wind up with it sooner or later, but for now, it's my favortie.
