Happy Mother's Day

For Mother's Day one of my requests was to be able to take some family pictures.  We usually do that on Easter but folks were flung in all different directions.  My family indulged me on Sunday.  Aren't they a lovely looking bunch?

We all get a bit bored with traditional, everybody say, "Cheese!" pictures. So we decided to get some good actions shots.  What?  You don't canoe in your moss covered front yard?  Well, I can't help it if you lack a sense of adventure.

We needed to practice looking our best.

I wanted Calypso to be well-groomed so I decided to emulate a proper chimpanzee mother.

Diana found the whole process very tiring.

Isaac is 6'3" now.  I needed to squish him down a bit to fit him in the frame with shrimpy little me.

Everybody ready?  Smile!
Oooh, look what some smiles and a black and white filter does for this bunch.

Your family is every bit as beautiful and goofy as you are. Perfect!

Your family photo sessions go the way ours do! And that's so much more fun than the serious ones. Great shots!

Fun times! We did a similar thing for my wife, had all four kids goofing around on the remnants of a tree we had to take down, and it was great silly fun

Glad to see your family again! Do people tell your daughter that she looks like Molly Ringwold?

Happy Mothers Day to you, belatedly.

So fun! I love the canoe picture. That is something I would make my family do too. :)
Well done! Gotta get those family pictures every once in a while.
Looks like you had a happy Mother's Day. :)

Whether wearing grins or grimaces, you have a beautiful family! I like that you all got into it. The canoe. Oh, and the esprit de corps. Yeah, you guys were all over that! Onward row!

They love you....or they wouldn't pose for those pictures. My kids would have set up a howl had I asked them to sit in a canoe in our front yard for a picture to put on my blog. You are truly loved. And I understand why. :)

Photo number 3 had me spitting coffee. The straight Diana face makes the others that much goofier. Hilarious stuff!

Michelle, some of your photos today reminded me of the title of a book by an Australian author once. It was called "Their a Weird Mob!" - Hey, I don't really mean it... :-) - Dave

I am so happy that you are still blogging, Lime, and you and your family are well. My son is well on his way of overtaking me in height too. He is ten, has reached my shoulder, and already wears bigger shoes than I do. They do grow quickly!
